Japan on Track for Massive Buildout of EV Infrastructure

Japan has no oil to speak of.  It is no wonder they are a world leader in alternative energy.  Most recently they have announced (reposted from here) a fleet of auto changing stations to encourage the switch from petroleum to electric.  The Japanese government is putting in $1B with 4 major Japanese automakers contributing an undisclosed amount towards installation.  This will more than triple the number of chargers throughout Japan.
