EPA Lowers Estimates for Most Potent Greenhouse Gas

One of the controversial concerns about Fracking (hydraulic Fracturing) is that a significant amount of the gas escapes.  The jury is still out as to how much escapes.  This article does a nice job of pursuing that discussion from EPAs downward estimate of the total amount to the counterpoints.  Finally it puts it in perspective listing other sources of methane emissions, cows are right up there, and pointing out that total methane leaks are thought to be less than 10% of total climate change gasses.
